VentureHawaii is a Hawaii travel guide read by people planning a trip — on the site and across Threads, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. If you run accommodation, a tour or a restaurant anywhere in the islands, you can buy a named, disclosed placement in the guides they use to decide. You can pay in cash or in nights.

We will only use these details to answer your enquiry. Ticking the box above is the only thing that adds you to our mailing list.

Packages and prices

A placement is more than a link. Each tier buys more space, more evidence, and more machine-readable detail.

The structured-data line matters more than it looks. Our pages carry machine-readable markup, and assistants like ChatGPT and Perplexity increasingly answer “where should I stay in Kona” by reading it. Most sites our size do not offer this.

A Reviewed Stay is permanent because it is reporting, not advertising. It does not expire and it is not renewed.

Paying in nights

Any package can be settled in cash, in nights, or a mix.

Nights are valued at your own published nightly rate for the dates offered — not a negotiated figure, and not a peak-season rate for an off-season stay. If a package is $900 and your published rate is $450, two nights covers it.

Why we offer it: a stay lets us write about your property from having been there, which research cannot substitute for. It is worth more to us than the cash, and it costs you an empty night rather than money out the door.

Bartered value is taxable income on both sides, so check with your accountant first. And we are in the islands a limited number of weeks a year, so reviewed stays are scheduled around trips and the slots are limited.

How we work

You are buying coverage, not a rating. Readers can tell the difference between a guide that recommends things and a guide that lists whoever paid — and the moment they stop trusting it, your placement is worth nothing either.

  • We write the description and the assessment. You correct facts — rates, distances, amenities — and we want you to.
  • If something fell short, it goes in the write-up.
  • We will not remove criticism in exchange for payment, renewal, or another stay.
  • If a business is genuinely poor, we refund rather than publish something we do not believe.

Every paid or comped placement is labelled on the page, beside the placement itself. Links carry rel="sponsored", because Google treats a free stay given for a link as an exchange of value.

Questions people ask

Will this help my search rankings?

No, and any site telling you otherwise is either breaking Google’s rules or about to. Sponsored links do not pass ranking signal. What this does is put you in front of someone already choosing where to stay.

Can I approve the write-up before it goes live?

You can correct anything factual, and we would rather you did. You cannot approve the opinion. That is the part that makes it worth reading.

What if you stay and you do not like it?

We tell you first. If it is fixable, you fix it and we revisit. If it is not, we refund and publish nothing.

Do you guarantee bookings?

No. We sell placement, never performance. We will share a page’s traffic on request.

What happens at the end of twelve months?

Listed and Featured placements come down unless renewed. Reviewed Stays stay up permanently — they are reporting, not an ad, so they are neither removed nor renewed.
